Snow Man snow sculptures appear at the Sapporo Snow Festival!

The Sapporo Snow Festival is extremely popular with tourists from Japan and abroad.
To celebrate their 5th anniversary since their debut, a special snow sculpture of Snow Man was appearing at the Odori 10th Chome venue, so we went straight to cover it!

The snow sculpture, based on the Snow Man character "Snowman Chill" original illustration for the Snow Festival, is of course a special snow sculpture that can only be seen here!
From the very first day of the event, many fans gathered and took commemorative photos, creating a lively atmosphere.

This is just my opinion, but it's much bigger than I thought it would be!
I was amazed at how large the snow sculptures were, so much so that I had to stand quite far away to take a full picture!
I was overwhelmed by the impressive scale of it all.

We spoke with Amano from m-style Ltd., who was involved in the production together with UHB Hokkaido Cultural Broadcasting, which is in charge of operating and managing the venue.

Although the production team struggled with a lack of snow and warm weather, they managed to recreate the image quite faithfully.
I would be happy if you could pay attention to the small details.

In fact, each character is dressed up in winter, so I hope you'll pay attention to that as well.
Since the project was officially announced, it seems that it has attracted a lot of attention from fans and other people, so we hope that you will come to the venue to see the completed snow sculptures.

From the morning of the first day of the Snow Festival, many people, including fans, have gathered.
Of course, it will only be open to the public during the Snow Festival (February 4th to 11th), so we look forward to seeing you there!

Recently, Snow Man fans have been paying attention to this "Northman."
It is a very popular Hokkaido specialty, and perhaps because of the similar pronunciation, many people are purchasing "Northman" as souvenirs.
What's more, the sales booth at the Odori 10th Chome venue will be selling limited-edition "Raw Norseman Chocolate"!
The "Live Snow Man" is already extremely popular, so I thought Snow Man fans would love it too, so I headed straight for the booth!

There are lines even on weekdays.
We waited in line for about 60 minutes...
I was finally able to purchase it!
It's extremely popular with tourists, of course, but also with us Hokkaido residents.
Since I have the chance, I'll also report on the taste.
